New DCIS diagnosis, single older mom
Greetings, women!
I am sorry to join your group, but glad that it’s here to join with a wealth of info & support. I am 47, mom to a sweet boy of 6 almost 7, & just got a diagnosis 10 days ago of ductal carcinoma in situ …. my 2nd opinion dr. recommended another MRI before surgery, so the MRI’s scheduled for Dec. 7, & the lumpectomy for 12/15. I am trying to keep my spirits up, but …. then fall back into the “OH S&*T” reaction pretty often …. I feel fine, I look great, how can this possibly be true? Hoping & praying it is small, contained & easily treatable…. sounds like at least lumpectomy & radiation, probably. At least, they say it’s non-invasive, the “best” kind to have. I had something suspicious since Jan. 08 …. a lump, 2 MRI’s were clear, then in Aug. mammogram showed calcifications, so I doubt the next MRI will show anything either, can’t feel any lump. But its apparently hiding in there. It looks like there’s a lot of activity on this board, don’t know that I can read 160 msg’s /day, but …. glad to be here anyway.
My friend invited me over to lie on her Biomat infrared heat with … those purples stones, amythests — has anyone has that cure their cancer? ha! I didn’t think so.. Still, I am willing to try anytying. Have been taking herbs & 8 flax oil caps/day since the mammogram in August …. started on the Vit. D when another healer friend recommended that .. mine tested at 30, on the low end - nurse said it should be betwe. 25-80.
I’m terrified of being put under & the surgery … guess people do it & survive. Just trying to imagine in a few short, cold months this will all be over & I will be cancer free. Saying my affirmations, “my breasts are full of health and vitality” and Healthy energy constantly fills every cell of my body.
Dr. said very low chance of my needing mastectomy, … hoping for the best.
peace & love & Healing to all, Cindy
