Solu_medrol Inj. Question
Hi Amy - Solu-medrol is actually methylprednisolone, so that is why all of your Rheumatic symptoms eased so quickly. Injection is quicker acting than oral, but you are limited to the number of injections you can get - the side effects are the same as the pills for long-term treatment - bone loss being a huge long-term effect. I would recommend that you talk with your Rheumatologist and let him/her know that the Plaquenil alone is not working for you - they can adjust your meds and there are others out there that IMHO work better than just Plaquenil alone.
